Custom Laravel apps

Custom Laravel apps and internal tools

Software for one company: an internal tool, a customer portal, a workflow that lives in spreadsheets today, a platform that connects your systems. I build these in Laravel, for companies with no developer of their own and for teams that want an experienced developer for the important parts.

I'm all in on AI. It lets me get through a lot of work in a short time, and I stay careful about the code and about what goes live. Laravel and Vue are what I use most. I'm based in Germany and work with clients in Europe and the US.

I usually reply within one working day.

What I build for companies

Typical custom apps, and what they tend to need.

Internal tools

The thing your team does in spreadsheets and email today: order handling, scheduling, approvals, inventory, reporting. A proper app with roles, history and search, built around how your people actually work.

Customer portals

A place where your customers log in, see their orders, documents or bookings, upload files, and get things done without calling you. Connected to the systems you already run.

Platforms that connect your systems

Your shop, your CRM, your accounting, your suppliers' APIs. One app in the middle that moves data between them reliably, with logs you can read when something goes wrong.

Configurators, calculators, quoting tools

Products with many variants and pricing rules, quotes generated from them, exports for sales and production. I have taken over and extended a configurator like this for an industrial manufacturer.

Marketplaces and data-heavy platforms

Imports from many sources, search, listings, syndication to other platforms. I built a car marketplace that pulls inventory from dealerships across Europe.

Reporting and exports

Reports with configurable columns, scheduled exports, PDFs, data for your accountant or your board. Built to run in the background so they never time out.

How I work

You don't need to have everything figured out before we talk. An idea, access to the repo, a screen recording or a list of problems is enough. I look at what is there, tell you what I would do and what it costs, and then I build it.

I use Claude Code, Codex and my own agent workflows for reading code, planning changes, writing tests, refactoring and debugging. It is not vibe coding. It is senior engineering with a much faster loop.

AI-first, which changes what a custom app costs

Custom software used to be expensive because every screen was typed by hand. Claude Code, Codex and my own agent workflows do most of the typing now. What you pay for is knowing what to build, getting the details right, and someone who checks everything before it goes live. That is me.

I stay in control

AI writes a lot of my code. I still make every technical decision, read every change before it ships, and test it. Fast, but meticulous: the speed is only worth something if what goes live is right.

The way you want to work

Some clients want to look at every change before it goes live, others want me to deploy. Some want a weekly call, most prefer written updates. I work well asynchronously, and I still ask the important questions when they come up.

I think like an owner

I still run my own online products. So when I build or fix yours, I think about traffic, conversion, revenue and support as much as about the code, and I tell you when something is not worth building.

Examples of my work

Custom apps I have built.

Event platform

Registration, matching and tickets

Visitor registration, personal day planning, AI-assisted matching of visitors and exhibitors, QR tickets with scanning at the door, and admin tools for the organizer, connected to their existing WordPress site.

Industrial manufacturer

Product configurator with pricing rules

I took over a hard-to-understand Laravel and Vue configurator with many product variants and pricing rules, extended the configuration logic, and improved the exports for sales and production without breaking what already worked.

Car dealerships

Marketplace with automated inventory

Automated import and enrichment of car inventory from European dealerships, a consumer marketplace on top, listing syndication to external marketplaces, and a separate dealer-to-dealer platform.

What clients say

"You have a chat, you express what you need, and he comes back with what you asked for. His english is fluent, he understands what you need, and he's not looking to overcomplicate things."

Ariel Ozick, Wired Rhino, Inc.

"Everything stayed on track, both in terms of time and budget. The end result was excellent and has been running smoothly since launch."

Philipp Toepelmann, Digital Investments GmbH

"We work with Vincent regularly on Laravel/Vue projects, both new builds and existing codebases that have grown over the years. In both cases, he delivers clean code and reliable implementation."

Questions

We don't have a specification. Can we still start?

Yes. A description of the problem, a few screenshots of how you do it today, or a call is enough. I write down what I would build, you correct it, and we go from there.

Will our own people be able to maintain it?

Yes. Standard Laravel, tests, and documentation of the parts that are specific to your business. If you have developers, I hand over properly. If not, I can keep looking after it.

Can it connect to the systems we already use?

Usually yes. CRMs, shops, accounting, booking systems, payment providers. If it has an API, I can connect it.

Who owns the code?

You do. It lives in your repository and on your hosting from the start.

Laravel or something off the shelf?

If an existing tool does the job, I say so. Custom software makes sense when your process is what makes you different, or when the off-the-shelf tools would need so much bending that you end up with custom software anyway.

How do you charge?

Fixed price for a job with a clear outcome, a flat monthly rate for ongoing work, or hourly. Describe what you need and I'll suggest one.

What the app should do and who will use it. A few sentences are enough. I'll reply with how I would build it and what it would cost.
